What are centerless grinding and cylindrical grinding?
Centerless grinding machine processing does not need to support the axis of the workpiece. But it is supported by the central blade and grinds the wheel in a rotary manner.
The cylindrical grinder has a cast iron worktable, a frame that supports the bearing to drive the workpiece drill, and a grinding wheel frame to rotate at high speed to process cylindrical, conical, or other shapes of the workpiece.
How to select the round parts processing method?
In the mass production of small and medium-sized rotary workpieces, such as syringe cores, bearing rings, rollers, needle rollers, piston pins, plungers, etc., the centerless cylindrical grinder is usually preferred for the finishing method.
This is because there is no need to drill a center hole on the round workpiece during grinding. During grinding, the processing time coincides with the auxiliary time. When the production volume is large compared with the price, the cutting in grinding time is shorter than the processing time of the cylindrical grinder. Therefore, the productivity is higher than that of the general cylindrical grinder, and the production cost is lower.
The cylindrical grinder is suitable for precision grinding of the end face, cylindrical surface, and the conical surface of batch shaft parts. The precision machining workshop processes shaft parts with small batch sizes and high precision requirements.
